The town refers most claims to its insurance carrier.  The carrier will refuse to pay if the law does not support the claim.  If the insurance carrier, or the town, denies your claim against the town, you have a right to assert your claim in court.  Claimants should contact their own attorney if they have questions about the denial of a claim.
