Communications & Economic Development is responsible for a wide range of materials and outreach programs that inform both residents and businesses of town policies, activities, services and accomplishments. Communications staff works in conjunction with all town departments in the development and implementation of strategies designed to promote better understanding of town resources and initiatives, to include media relations, promotional programs, collateral development and web strategy. Economic Development staff works with town businesses and community stakeholders to promote Herndon as a place in which to locate and grow businesses; offers services such as site selection as well as access to funding, mentoring and market data resources designed to aid businesses; and serves as a general ombudsman to businesses interacting with the town.
