School Resource Officers (SRO's) function as integral members of the Herndon High School and Herndon Middle School communities. They receive specific training and actively contribute to enhancing safety, security, and information sharing, all while fulfilling law enforcement responsibilities. By maintaining a visible presence both inside and outside the school premises, SRO's effectively discourage criminal activities. These officers work in conjunction with school administrators and staff to foster a positive school environment that prioritizes conflict resolution and minimizes students' involvement with the juvenile and criminal justice systems.
