Town of Herndon, VA
Home MenuArchitectural Review
Architectural review provides the Town with the ability to protect and promote the general welfare of the Town and prevent future deterioration of structures and adverse impacts to the Town's economic development and tax base.
The Architectural Review Board and the Historic District Review Board conduct the architectural reviews for most exterior alterations, additions, new construction, and signs in Town.
The Boards review applications to ensure that the materials reflect quality construction and are durable and that the architecture, its elements and colors are appropriate to its surroundings and the greater community.
See the individual Board pages for additional information including application deadline and meeting dates. For applications, refer to the Forms & Fees page.
