Equipment Operator - Mechanic

The purpose of this position is to repair and maintain equipment used in the town’s golf course operations.  Employees in this classification are responsible for diagnosing, repairing and maintaining all related equipment and associated recordkeeping of same.


Duties and Responsibilities:

 1. Inspects, diagnoses, repairs and maintains golf course equipment, including but not limited to diesel, electric, gas, mechanical and landscaping equipment.

 2. Assists in researching supplies and services, including pricing, needed for repairs or replacement.

 3. Documents and maintains records of repairs and maintenance performed.

 4. Performs other duties as required. 


Minimum Education, Training, Experience and Special Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Supplemented by vocational or technical school training in emissions, small engine repair and electronics
• Supplemented by a minimum of three years’ experience in golf course equipment repair and maintenance strongly preferred
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable record

Hours:  


Monday - Friday (Some Weekends) 6am - 2:30pm / 5am - 8am

Due to the nature of a government providing services to the public all duties of this position are required to be fulfilled at the designated worksite in the town. No remote work is available.
