On July 10, 2024, the Town of Herndon transitioned to a new eProcurement platform (OpenGov) for publishing solicitations and receiving vendor responses. Register your account early to begin receiving email notifications for the Town’s Bid/RFP opportunities. Registration is 100% free for vendors!
The purchasing division serves all Town departments by purchasing goods and services in accordance with the town budget. The goal is to seek high-quality goods and services at a reasonable cost, ensure that all procurement procedures are conducted in a fair and impartial manner, and avoid any impropriety or appearance of impropriety. All qualified vendors have access to public business, and no offeror or bidder is ever arbitrarily or capriciously excluded from competitive procurement processes.
All expenditures of public funds must adhere to the policies and procedures of the Procurement Division and the Virginia Public Procurement Act.
The Town uses the eProcurement platform OpenGov for distributing notification and solicitation documents. Offerors will also upload bids and proposals here.
Solicitations are also advertised on the Commonwealth of Virginia's eVA Procurement Portal where they may be downloaded and viewed in their entirety.
For additional information or questions regarding bids and RFPs, contact Purchasing Agent Andrea Lourenco, Phone: 703-435-6800 ext. 2048
