About Public Works
The Department of Public Works oversees all construction and land development, building inspections, water and sewer maintenance and street maintenance. Public Works coordinates trash and recycling collection, snow removal and municipal building and park maintenance. Public Works strives to provide the highest quality public works services in a safe, cost effective and customer oriented manner.
Department of Public Works activity centers:
The Public Works Operations and Emergency Response Center receives and executes town-wide work requests, giving priority effort to safety issues.
The Operations Center is the DPW command center for all emergency operations such as snow removal, flooding/high water dissipation, response to severe or life-threatening storms and other natural or man-made disasters.
The Operations Center can be reached at: (703) 435-6860 Monday - Friday 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
